The Jeron logo stems from the original intercom system designed for high-rise apartment buildings. Jeron jumped into the apartment intercom industry during a construction boom in the city of Chicago in the 1960s. Today, Jeron intercom systems are used in a variety of applications worldwide, but evidence of the company’s roots is still found in renowned buildings such as the Chicago Carlyle Apartments. Built in 1967, the 40-story, 130-unit building still provides safety and security through a reliable Jeron intercom system.

In the mid 1970s, Jeron recognized a new market in need of sophisticated communication devices—the healthcare industry. Jeron continues to keep pace with advancing technology. Where Jeron’s original tone-visual nurse call system met the needs of yesterday, Jeron offers an entire line of nurse call systems designed to meet today’s healthcare communication needs. The Provider® 680 lies at the forefront of communication technology in the healthcare environment, offering room-to-room communications, digital duplex intercoms, infrared staff and equipment tracking, PBX telephone interfaces, wireless phones , and pocket pagers.
