Alarm Management and Fall Prevention

Alarm Management and Fall Prevention for Enhanced Patient Safety

Common medical devices such as IV pumps, ventilators and bed exit monitors can be integrated with Provider® 680, allowing caregivers to monitor their patients from anywhere in the facility. In the event of an issue with the patient or the device, an assigned caregiver can be signaled to the exact location of the alarm, eliminating time-wasting "searches" for the active alarm.

  • Reduced Incidence of Falls - caregivers can immediately respond to a bed exit alarm, before the patient can potentially experience a fall
  • Multiple Modes of Notification - alarms automatically illuminate Dome Lights and calls are displayed at the Nurse Console, calls can be directly routed to a caregiver's pager or phone
  • Quiet Healing Environment - since alarms are routed through the nurse call system and directly to mobile devices there is no noisy notification to disturb patients
  • Separate Call Levels - varying call levels can be programmed according to the type of alarm: Routine, Urgent or Emergency, allowing caregivers to prioritize calls
  • Joint Commission Compliance - Provider 680 meets the Joint Commission's Patient Safety Goals of alarm notification for bed exit and device alarm annunciation
  • Integration with Latching/Momentary Inputs - alarms that reset themselves after momentary activation can save the caregiver unnecessary trips, increasing workflow
